My Favorite Vitality Drink!

Yes, I consider Viv a Vitality Drink, not just another Energy Drink.

Viv is one of the best top health products that I have come across.

As an alternative health practitioner, I am always searching for products that will enhance  client’s health and wellbeing.

We are all experiencing this new age of high stress and tension. Our days filled with so much to accomplish, we are all in desperate need of the extra energy necessary to get through the day, so we can collapse at night, only to begin the hectic cycle again the next morning.

I often meet clients that typically are juggling a high pressure job, along with all of the family duties of caring for their children, cooking and household chores.

VIV is the answer to provide you long lasting energy – the kind of clear headed, non-jittery energy that gets you through an exhausting day, dealing with your stressors better and improving your overall health.

VIV is a healthy natural Vitality drink, because you are drinking a wonderful combination of healthy ingredients, schizandra, cordyceps, eleuthero (siberian ginseng), black current, rhodiola and goji berries, and not the sugary Energy Drinks that have stimulants, caffeine, or anything else that is unhealthy.

Another reason I am impressed with VIV, it comes in convenient individual packages which you simply add to your own pure water. Our water supply has become so polluted, it is vital to make sure the water you drink is filtered and pure. I use a small water purification unit attached to my kitchen faucet. That way I don’t need to buy bottled water.  I am confident that when I add a VIV packet to my pure water my drink is truly pure, healthy and I am vitalized.

Do you want to try it for yourself?  VIV offers a free trial offer, so you can experience the empowering feeling of energy focus and vitality,  just pay shipping and they will send you a month’s supply.

VIV is guaranteed to provide you long lasting energy – the kind of clear headed, non-jittery energy that gets you through an exhausting day, dealing with your stressors better and improving your overall health.

To Your VIV Vitalized health,

Debi Rose Catalano

is herbal tea a hydrating drink?

Will drinking herbal teas such as peppermint or ginger teas suffice to stay hydrated throughout the day?

As long as you’re not a outside worker.

I started back on Celexa to help with my Anxiety, I am trying to find out if it is safe to drink herbal tea’s such as Chamomile and if there’s any tea’s that I should specifically stay away from?

A 2006 review of the medical literature reported a number of beneficial effects for chamomile in vitro and animal tests, but added that more human clinical trials are needed before firm conclusions can be drawn.

Research with animals suggests antispasmodic, anxiolytic, anti-inflammatory and some antimutagenic and cholesterol-lowering effects for chamomile. Chamomile has sped healing time of wounds in animals. It also showed some benefit in an animal model of diabetes. In vitro chamomile has demonstrated moderate antimicrobial and antioxidant properties and significant anti-platelet activity, as well as preliminary results against cancer.Essential oil of chamomile was shown to be a promising antiviral agent against herpes simplex virus type 2 in vitro.

Chamomile is also used cosmetically, primarily to make a rinse for blonde hair, and as a yellow dye for fabrics.Tolerance can develop to the sedative action of chamomile if taken habitually.Chamomile is very safe to be taken in conjunction with Celexa.
Take care always

Does Herbal Clean Detox Drink really work?

I have a drug test on monday. It’s been a little less than three weeks since i’ve smoked. There is a good chance that Marijuana is still in my system. I bought this Herbal Clean Detox drink, from the smoke shop. I want to know if the Detox drink really works. Will i pass my drug test? What is the success rate of this drink? Is it at least 90% effective?

No. Best case scenario is that it does nothing. More likely it will make you very ill and claim that is the detox process.

It’s been said the pain of kidney stones is like giving birth. But, whilst childbirth is a welcome and predicable event, the sudden, excruciating pain of a kidney stone strikes without warning. Such is the shock and the agony of this, it’s hardly surprising you’ll readily agree to surgery. Yet a little research will uncover some very effective home remedies for kidney stones, which can avoid painful, invasive surgery in the majority of cases.

Nettle leaf: This leaf is known for its urination promotion abilities. Drinking up to 2 to 3 cups of nettle leaf tea daily may prevent the formation of kidney stones. Nettle leaf works by constantly keeping water flowing through the body’s kidneys and bladder; it also helps to wash away bacteria. Nettle leaf tea can be prepared by simply mixing 1 or 2 tablespoons of dried nettle leaf with a cup of hot water and leave to infuse for 10 to 15 minutes.

Increase your intake of bran and oats – bran and oats naturally contain a lot of fiber. Fiber helps get rid of excess calcium and other oxalates or the organic acids that come from the food we eat. Oxalates are useful as in the case of vitamin C. However, oxalates and other excessive mineral substances have the tendency to merge into spiky crystals.

If you are suffering from kidney stones or you have had them in the past, one of the most important things to do is to make sure you drink plenty of water. It is important to increase your intake of fluids. It is a good idea to drink 8 oz of water a day, or even more if you can. You can drink it alone or with a herbal infusion or cordial. Drinks containing caffeine such as tea, coffee and cola and alcohol aren’t counted in this 8oz but you can also drink fruit juices and other drinks.

Like your doctor mentioned, drink water throughout the day. At least 12 cups a day.

Another form of treatment involves inserting a probe up the urethra and up into the urinary tract. This does give direct contact with the stone, which then requires a less powerful shockwave to shatter it, so meaning less residual pain. Alternatively a laser may be used on the end of the probe to fragment the stone.

Physician and Nutrition Expert Dr. McDougal stated, “Today over prescribing and overuse of mind-altering drugs are doing far more harm than good in our society.” Many times, only a few simple lifestyle changes are needed and not an over-priced pill with dangerous side-effects. Unfortunately, most of the time doctors do not tell us about the simple lifestyle changes, but don’t think twice about prescribing us one to two medications.

I’m taking herbal tea for its natural health benefits but I would prefer to drink the tea warm, cool or cold.
Do you think that drinking herbal tea at a temperature other than hot would produce the same effect than drinking it steaming hot?

thx.

..agree with Mantra.

Sage tea, if drunk for excess sweating for instance, it might be better to drink that cold….as might be the case with any other tea if one has a tendency to perspire excessively and/or has hot flashes. Hot tea is thermogenic in its own right at least early on after drinking. This being the only example i can think of right now with regards to drinking cold tea over warm/hot. But if you prefer it warm or cool/cold anyway, no problem with drinking it that way as long as it is brewed with hot water and preferably allowed to steep for some time [and it might be better to cover the mug/pot if the herb has volatile beneficial oils].

Some teas may be more refreshing served cold with or without ice, particularly in the summer months.

Best wishes.

Can Drinking Tea Make You Live Longer?

Tea is the second most popular beverage in the world, after water. Asian cultures drink gallons of green, oolong and other teas, and the Brits consume large quantities of black tea. In fact, everywhere in the world, tea is a regular part of life. In many cases, we drink tea because we like it, but as it turns out, it may be extremely healthy for us, too.

Over the years there’s been tons of research on the benefits of tea to our health. And, as we learn more and more, it’s becoming clear that drinking tea may be one of the best things we can do to protect our health and prolong our lives. The University of Toronto Medical Journal outlines the many benefits that drinking tea can offer

Prevention of Heart Disease

Studies have shown that regular tea consumption can actually lower cholesterol levels circulating in the blood. In fact, some studies have shown tea to reduce total cholesterol by as much as 6.5% and LDL cholesterol by as much as 11%. A reduction in cholesterol prevents atherosclerosis, a condition in which the arteries that carry blood become narrowed due to a buildup of plaque. The plaque that builds up in our arteries is created when LDL cholesterol oxidizes.

Prevention of Cancer

Tea has been shown to reduce the risk of several forms of cancer. In fact, tea has been shown to reduce lung tumors by 80% in laboratory mice. Tea has also been effective in human studies on cancer, including breast cancer, colon cancer and gastric cancer.

Weight Loss

Tea has also been shown to be an effective weight loss supplement. Tea increases energy expenditure, promotes fat oxidation and decreases fat storage. Many studies have shown that drinking tea in conjunction with a healthy diet and exercise can help you lose more weight than diet and exercise alone.

Improvement in Intestinal Tract Bacteria

Regular tea consumption can help improve the bacteria that live in your intestinal tract; eliminating harmful bacteria and helping beneficial bacteria to flourish. Tea has been shown to reduce the level of H pylori bacteria in the stomach. H pylori is associated with the development of ulcers.

Getting Your Daily Dose

The recommended dose of tea for health benefits is about 30 ounces per day – the equivalent of 2 ½ cans of soda. While this may seem like a lot, it’s easy to consume this amount if you replace some of the other beverages you consume with tea. Consider this:

Replace one cup of your morning coffee with a cup of tea instead – that’s 8 ounces.

Have one bottle of green tea with lunch instead of a bottled soda – that’s another 12 ounces.

For an afternoon break, make a relaxing cup of tea instead of a snack. You’ll save calories and get another 8 ounces of tea.

Have a cup of lavender or mint tea before bed – you’re getting another eight ounces of tea, and you’ll sleep better too!

Which tea is best?

There are literally thousands of varieties of tea available – so much that you may be confused about which you should be drinking. Probably the best tea for you is the one that you like, because if you like it you’ll drink more of it. However, if you’re choosing tea strictly for the health benefits, here are some suggestions to help you choose the tea that will give you the most benefit.

Choose green tea over black – Green tea is unfermented, which means that more of the original anti-oxidants are intact. It is believed that green tea has more health benefits than black tea because these anti-oxidants remain in their natural state. If you don’t like the flavor of plain green tea, there are dozens of flavored green teas. They are just as healthy, and taste great. In addition, you can find bottled green teas that are very convenient when you’re on the go.

Choose caffeinated teas over decaffeinated – Caffeinated teas have the most health benefit. It is believed that the caffeine in tea works with the anti-oxidants to create the maximum effects. Those who are caffeine sensitive might try green tea, as its caffeine content is lower than that of black tea.

Make sure it’s real tea – There are many beverages that are referred to as tea that are not really tea. True tea comes from the Camellia sinensis plant. Herbal teas, and teas like rooibos and mate are really tisanes -meaning they come from other plants. There’s certainly nothing wrong with these teas, but they don’t provide the health benefits that you’ll find in a true tea.

Drink it the way you like it- Tea retains the same health benefits whether you drink it hot or cold and whether or not you add milk. Just remember to skip the sugar if you’re drinking tea to help you lose weight.

With all the health benefits that we’re discovering about tea, it’s a pretty good assumption that tea may help you live longer. By putting off many of the signs and diseases of aging, you’re also likely to be healthier and more active in your old age. Tea is a natural, refreshing way to improve your health and longevity.
