As a teacher in California I see things as they really are. Mexicans are just that, Mexican. They live in my state illegally because they can.
If you were a parent of a child who is enrolled in my school, you would know just how damaging illegals are to the fractured educational system. Teachers are required to speak Spanish and must be able to teach in it. As it stands, the schools carry out the administrations directions and state curriculum is assigned. Chinese, Japanese, India, Korean, VietNamese, Brazilian, Malaysian, Indonesian and Thai kids are at the biggest disadvantage since schools cater to only Hispanic students first. It is expensive to have worksheets and textbooks printed in English AND Spanish but that's what we have. Interestingly enough, those Asian kids are the most dedicated to learn. While every effort is made to reach out to Hispanic children and teach them, their families rarely support anything the school does on their behalf. In fact, I would go so far as to say Spanish speaking students demand everything be done and take everything that is done for granted. They can get a HS Diploma without being able to speak a word of English.

It is reverse discrimination. California wants Hispanics happy at the cost of American English speaking Taxpayers and their children. Carry what I have said straight into the workplace and you have a recipe for economic disaster as Hispanics speak as little English as possibly can.
References :
Most Americans would love to see "Mass Deportation" coming up. This will not happen, but some will be deported. Laws that will make illegals self deport is our solution to the illegal problem. We have legal worker programs and a means of legal immigration. We definately do not need illegals in our country. We need to know who is here and why they are here. Our country cannot afford these people taxing the resources Americans are paying for.
References :
Your source is an opinion not fact, its his views, his "facts",his research.I looked at all his sights and his work is with immigrants not illegal aliens. He also did reports about Germany.Interesting reading but not facts.Any research can be false if one doesn't start with correct facts by which the research is based .If the beginning numbers were incorrect so will the data be incorrect.
No one knows the exact number of illegal aliens in this nation so most numbers are only guesses.
not facts.

A prestigious Wall Street investment firm recently published a report, The Underground Labor Force is Rising to the Surface, which shows that the illegal alien population is double the official government estimates and that the Government vastly underestimates the cost of illegal immigration.

•The illegal alien population of the U.S. is about 20 million - roughly the population of New York State.
•Between 4 and 6 million jobs have shifted to the underground economy since 1990. These are not "jobs Americans won't do, but rather jobs Americans used to do.
•On the revenue side, the United States may be foregoing $55 billion a year in income tax collections because of the number of jobs that are now off the books.
•There are approximately 10 million illegal workers who are collecting wages on a cash basis and are avoiding both income and FICA taxes.
•The United States is hooked on cheap, illegal workers and is deferring the costs of providing public services to these quasi-Americans.
Long before the nation was flooded with illegal aliens somebody picked the lettuce, mowed the grass, flipped burgers, dug the ditches, and cleaned hotel rooms. These entry level jobs were done by guest agricultural workers, the working poor, legal immigrants and, in the summer, by students. Given supply and demand in a capitalistic society and there still are plenty of legal immigrants and resident Americans who would do these jobs at a fair and free market wage.

As Victor Davis Hanson recently noted in Rethinking illegal immigration:

"Areas in the United States that have experienced far less illegal immigration seem to have no insurmountable problems manning restaurants, cutting lawns or serving the needs of hotel guests. Travel to the Midwest, for example, and you'll see students are employed as cooks and maids. Construction relies on legal laborers. The evidence suggests massive illegal immigration causes as much upheaval inside Mexico as it supposedly prevents - while aggravating, not solving, problems in the United States."
When illegal aliens take these jobs they not only take jobs from American teens and drive the wages down but also deny entry level work and the ladder of opportunity from the working poor and legal immigrants thus making the American Dream harder to obtain. Additionally, even Wal-Mart can't hire all the retirees who want to work part time. Have you ever gone to Las Vegas? Next time note all the retirees working in the restaurants.

In Arizona the illegal alien "work force" are 99% under ground employed.Meaning the get paid cash for day labo/job.They dont pay any form of income tax .They pay a tax of things they buy such as food and clothing. Arizona tax payers educate their children for free and our ERs give them medical care that is most often never paid for by the illegal alien.
Don't confuse all people of Hispanic heritage with illegal aliens.they have nothing in common except that heritage. They are just as are most people that live in AZ,hard working, tax paying, normal American citizens. Not all people of Hispanic heritage support illegal aliens.
References :
That's not the only report out there that says that either. People that want mass deportation do want to trash our economy.

http://www.ocregister.com/news/immigrants-197280-immigration-study.html
Study: Immigrants vital to economy even amid budget crisis

Some statistics from the Immigration Policy Center study:
The 2008 purchasing power of California's Latinos was $249 billion and $162.8 billion for Asians, the highest of any state in the nation.

Immigrants in California pay roughly $30 billion in federal taxes, $5.2 billion in state income taxes, and $4.6 billion in sales taxes each year.

The average immigrant-headed household contributes a net $2,679 annually to Social Security, which is $539 more than the average US-born household.

43.6% of immigrants in California were naturalized U.S. citizens in 2007 -- up from 31.2% in 1990

We don't need to pay for a mass deportation, just change a few laws.

Get rid of the anchor baby law.
Anyone hiring 'undocumented workers' loses their business license.
Proof of legal residency required to get a business license.
Allow local police to enforce thes laws.

They will leave on their own.
Look up Oklahoma's legislation 1804. It worked there and they have a very low unemployment rate.
References :
Dr. Peri should have his degree revoked.

Of course "average" wage will go up, but total wages go down. Here:

Employ 3 citizen supervisors, average wage high, TOTAL wage low.
Employ 3 citizen supervisors and 20 citizen workers, average wage a little lower, TOTAL wages MUCH higher.

That is so basic.
References :
You've confused an editorial with supported proof.

Tell me how an unskilled wage earner benefits from labor willing to work under minimum wage?

Tell me, how does a union carpenter benefit from illegal carpenters?

Just because the boss of a company makes more which means that the company does well and their stockholders do well, does not mean anyone else benefits from illegal labor.
